I have been trying to decide on a new camcorder and have narrowed it down to either a Panasonic NV-GS60 or a Samsung VP-D375. Have seen some reviews on the Samsung, but not on the Panasonic, so does anyone have any thoughts on either of them?
nv-gs60 is the best as far as i know. go for panasonic. it has better features and the lens is very powerful.
My girlfriend bought one (I know nothing of camcorders and it’s her first one) because she assumed she could just shoot and it would save to the SD card… but apparently not.
Just wondering if anybody knew what kind of tapes these bad boys take?
it takes miniDV tape, available most everywhere. it is sometimes called DVC tape. it comes in 60 minute (1 hour) standard shooting length.

This is a nice day railfanning at Emeryville. But when CDTX #2007 came, the battery in my dad’s camera ran low. I SAW more trains than I filmed. Remember to chech out Alwaystrains’ version. He caught all of it. BTW, scene #1 was shot in the Ikea parking lot. (Recorded on Thursday, August 12th, 2010 w/ a Panasonic Camcorder, 2nd official production)

Skew and how to work with the phenomena is covered in this video and good camera shooting ideas are highlighted. Flash Band Compensation is also covered and will be incorporated into the HPX300 starting in July ’09.
