I have to say that …
I have to say that this isn´t a REAL HD camera.
Read carefully the specification: 3 ccd with each 500.000 pixels (3x 0.56 Megapixel CCD (1/6″). That´s not true HD.
So the quality can never be the same as an single ccd (e.g. Samsung VP HMX, Sony..) with over 1500.000 pixels or higher.

take this in mind if ye bought your camera.

It does only 25 FPS …
It does only 25 FPS! on 1920 x 1080 resolution!
And Interleaced! Thease are the best settings. it can do. So moving objects and camera pan doesn’t look smooth! Camera native AVCHD format still uncommon in video players and editors. Included HD Writer for windows plain sucks! Leaves impression of a cheap and dirty hack. It allows exporting that cool 1920 x 1080 AVCHD video at best settings into 720×576 MPG. I think class action suit is appropriate for misadvertisement.

if you put the file …
if you put the file on the dvd it will change to file into standard def because dvds are not high definition. You can either buy a blu-ray burner or just plug a hdmi port from the camcorder to your hdtv to watch in hd. And with the sd card there is no loss of quality with multiple playbacks.

You need a blue ray …
You need a blue ray DVD reader to see full hi def and a blue ray burner with software.
