    Thanks for the …
Thanks for the review; but I’m afraid there is an error in it. You say that this is a 3 CCD camcorder; when, in fact, it is a 3 CMOS or “3MOS” camcorder. There IS a difference, you know.

    I have this camera …
I have this camera and I think that the review is spot-on precise overall. The cold shoe on the camera was not properly explained, what was shown was the base where the cold shoe attachment is connected to the camera. The cold shoe itself is positioned in the usual manner so that any peripheral attached to the cold shoe will have its main axis of action lined up with that of the camera. Too bad they didn’t take the extra 5 seconds to show the cold shoe mounted on the camera.

Although its basic pictures are great it still creates thick purple lines from any sharp light sources in the picture which can be noticed in several cheaper panasonic hd cameras.

Impressive camera. I’m wondering if I’m gonna spend $1,700.00, should I just get the Canon 7D? Must admit, the quality is quite impressive and I really like AVCHD!

    TM300 records …
TM300 records native 60i but the video is converted in-camcorder to 24p.
Only Sanyo provides native progressive record, but the quality is no match for the panasonic.
However canon has the 24p and 30p mode but they are converted in-camcorder as well.
